

The Employment Services Center Adult and Dislocated Worker Program provides employment services to all employable Nevada Residents. The Employment Services Center provides a variety of job resource tools and support to eligible adults and dislocated workers ranging from self-service resources for job-ready applicants to intensive service or occupational training, the main objective being helping employers find workers and job seekers find jobs.

Job Seeker Services
Individual Employment Plans: staff performs Individual Employment and Self Sufficiency plans tailored to each client’s specific circumstances. The goal is to obtain a career/skill profile of the client served, but also to enhance the job seeker’s awareness of lateral job skills, establish short term goals and develop
a time table for results, effectively organizing client’s job
search efforts.Supportive Services: based on client employment related needs, the Workforce Investment Act Adult and Dislocated Worker Program offers a variety of case management services to ensure client work readiness and preparedness, by eliminating barriers to employment. Services may range from counseling, to transportation, basic/life skill, short term prevocational referrals, childcare
payment assistance, etc, to on the job required tools, uniforms, cards, etc.Client Specific Job Leads: staff provides client with individualized job leads resulting from staff’s referrals and follow ups with employers throughout the community effectively linking job seekers with verified job openings.
Occupational Training Services: subsidized occupational training for clients at a variety of employer sites aimed at development of updated job market on demand skills. information on training available from a variety of providers, including community colleges, technical schools and trade schools; provides information to applicants on apprenticeship job training programs that will prepare them for occupations in the skilled trades and crafts; provides information about and access to adult education and literacy services opportunities in the area, to ensure adults have the basic skills necessary for employment.
Follow Up Services: Clients benefit from continuous employment support and advocacy throughout the program year, aimed at retention and therefore ensuring self sufficiency prior to client’s exit of the program.

Candidate Sourcing and Referral: Refers individuals at no cost to specific job openings by matching candidate skills to required job duties and competencies.

On-the-Job Training and hiring incentives information.Establish Training Plans or Subsidizes Occupational Training: to further enhance candidate employability and lessen the initial hiring and training burden of the employer, training or subsidized occupational trainings may be identified and implemented at no cost to the client.
