Marian Residence Transitional Living for Senior Women provides shelter to women age 60 or older who are in crisis due to loss of income, spousal and family abuse, death of a spouse, or other catastrophic life event. Marian Residence is a two-year transitional program that provides housing and supportive services.
Marian Residence is committed to providing a safe refuge within a structured format. Staff works with residents to formulate employment plans, financial and budgeting plans, and independence goals. Case managers work with residents to coordinate referrals for any additional supportive services that may be needed. Service referrals may include counseling services, domestic violence services, consumer credit counseling, legal assistance, etc.
Clients must be free from alcohol, drugs, and gambling addictions or in a recovery program. Clients must actively take part in removing the barriers to achieve an independent life.
