The Resident Work Program is a structured work program designed to provide
a residence and supportive services to homeless men to become positive productive members of the Las Vegas valley community.

Our goal

The goal of the Residential Work Program is to restore dignity, self-esteem;
and develop skills and abilities to secure and maintain employment to
become self-sufficient.

We provide
pictures of basic needs

Immediate basic needs:
Shelter in a clean and safe environment
Three meals a day are provided in the St. Vincent Lied Dining Facility.
Personal hygiene items.
Clothing provided for day to day, casual work and employment interviews.

Resotring dignity and achieving self-sufficiency

Each client receives an intensive assessment by a Life Skills Coach upon entry
in the program.

One-on-one personalized Life Skills Coaching for support and guidance.

Life Skills Classes are offered in Success Training, Problem Solving, Communication Skills, Work Place Preparedness, Addiction Awareness and an Open Forum.

Transportation assistance is provided for medical and legal issues.

Each resident participates in job skill experiences with our programs throughout
our campus.

The program operates a resident mail room; established to provide clients with
an address which enhances employment contact and opportunities.

Referrals to community resources.

Securing Sheriff, Tam and Health cards when needed
Computer training
Computer job application assistance
Referrals for employment
Direct employer contact through Catholic Charities hosted Job Fairs
Transportation to and from work, utilizing public transportation
Financial/budget counseling to help maintain employment

Qualifications to join the program

18 years or older
U.S. Citizen or valid INS authorization to work
Social Security Card
State picture Identification Card
Mentally and physically able to work
Submit drug screening if requested

Intake process

Intake into the Resident Work Program starts at 7:00 a.m. at the Client Services Office, Monday through Friday except holidays. If a client arrives on the weekend they may qualify for an emergency shelter referral until starting the intake process.
