Meet Our Kitchen Team
Meals are prepared daily at our facility by our food service department utilizing a staff of fifteen employees; our staff is trained, experienced & dedicated. Our kitchen is headed by an executive chef, and registered dietitian, followed by a lead cook, and then prep cooks. We also employ food preparation workers, a nutrition specialist, trayline servers, and a steward. The kitchen utilizes "blast chill" technology, chilled trayline assembly, and filling station system to assure the safe preparation and delivery of meals. Placing a high standard for food safety and sanitation, our executive chef is a Certified ServSafe Food Protection Manager from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and accredited by the American National Standards Institute. The entire kitchen and delivery personnel have completed the course and are ServSafe certified technicians.

Trayline servers assemble each meal into a compartment tray that is microwave and oven safe. Each meal is imprinted with the meal name and use by date. Heating instructions are provided on a recipe card in English and Spanish at the onset of services.
It is the policy of the food service department to prepare food in a manner consistent with the guidelines of the Nevada Administrative Code for Food and Drink Establishments. Continuity is provided throughout the process beginning
with our standardized recipes, accurate inventory, purchasing system, and
precise portioning. This high standard has resulted in a rating score of 100%, produced from ten consecutive and unannounced inspections performed by the Nevada State Department of Health. Consistent performance based outcomes have led to a professional, mutually beneficial relationship with county health inspectors. Our performance is based on a solid commitment to the field of food safety that would otherwise have a drastic, harmful impact on the most vulnerable populations we serve; the elderly.
Meet Our Delivery Team
Our drivers are caring, compassionate & can be identified by their smiles. They visit each home weekly, completing wellness checks. Many of our seniors are isolated and we are their only point of contact each week. Drivers must pass a defensive driving course each year to deliver meals to our service recipients' homes. Drivers are trained to recognize and report signs of neglect or any other issues.

Each week around the Las Vegas valley our four drivers can be seen visiting homebound seniors on any one of our sixteen routes. In addition to delivering meals, our drivers have the added responsibility of managing a fluctuating list
of items we feel is important to our clients well being. Along with the bag of
seven frozen meals, drivers may also bring milk, fruit, emergency shelf stable meals, birthday cakes, holiday cards, liquid supplements, pet food and other items the individual may need that have been donated from area businesses, hospitals and caring individuals.Along with the items above drivers are routinely asked to deliver durable medical equipment and supplies such as adult diapers, grab bars, chux pads, toilet chairs, and walkers.
