The Telephone Reassurance Program serves those individuals, age 60 and older,
living alone and in need of a daily reassurance call. In addition to checking on the physical well-being of the client, the program also services the client by reducing loneliness and providing clients an opportunity to be in contact with another person. Additional referrals and services are offered to many clients through coordination with the other Senior Services Programs available through Catholic Charities.
This services is available to any senior, 60 years or older, who lives alone and has no one to regularly check on his or her well being and security.
Volunteer caller must be 55 years of age or older.
Complete an application and background check.
Attend new volunteer orientation before you begin with the program.
Attend a 4 hour in-service training every year.
