WHERE:

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada
1501 Las Vegas Blvd North
Las Vegas, NV 89101

WHY:

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada has been the grateful recipient of funding from Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican to purchase an eight-passenger van to assist their clients in reaching the medical attention they require. Funding also covers the first year of salary for a medical case manager/driver who will coordinate the transportation of clients to medical appointments with various health care providers.

Through a partnership with Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada is able to use the van to transport clients to clinics run by Volunteers in Medicine, including their brand new Ruffin Family Clinic near the downtown area. Many clients arrive at our campus in need of medical attention. Common ailments affecting our service population include high blood pressure and diabetes.

Thanks to the generosity of St. Rose, clients are able to receive transportation to medical facilities where they can get the care they need to treat these and other ailments. This invaluable service connects clients with crucial care needed to help them return to self-sufficiency through improved health.
