Our Annual Feed Vegas Community Meal Is Here!

April 18, 2025

Each April, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada holds the Feed Vegas Campaign, offering volunteer opportunities and gathering donations for our food assistance programs. Along with this initiative, a free community meal is held on our anniversary to celebrate another year of feeding the Las Vegas community members who struggle with food insecurity. As a nonprofit organization, donations and volunteers are how Catholic Charities is able to serve our community, positively impacting thousands of people each year.

When Is This Year’s Celebratory Feed Vegas Meal?

This year’s free community meal to commemorate 84 years of service and the Feed Vegas initiative will be held on April 25th and is open to volunteers, staff, and regular meal service guests. Through this meal and others, we can bring the community together and foster hope and resilience while we assist those facing food insecurity.

In honor of our 84th anniversary, we encourage you to consider donating to the Hands of Hope Community Food Pantry or volunteering for one of our food programs. Thanks to donations and volunteers, our Las Vegas food pantry has distributed almost 3 million pounds of food to over 45,000 people within the community.

Food Assistance Near You

As well as this annual meal, Catholic Charities provides free meals at our St. Vincent Lied Dining Hall to around 425 guests each day. Volunteers and staff serve this meal provided thanks to donations from our generous donors.

Throughout the year, we also maintain an impactful Meals On Wheels program where last year alone over 803,263 meals were delivered to 4,303 homebound seniors at no cost to them. This program has been part of Catholic Charities for years, growing to be one of the largest Meals on Wheels programs in Nevada.

The Hands of Hope Food Pantry also provides food assistance to the Las Vegas community, allowing guests to grocery shop perishable and non-perishable items every 30 days. This program allows families and individuals the opportunity to pick out nutritious foods based on their needs.

Donate To Catholic Charities

If you would like to assist Catholic Charities in continuing our mission of giving help and hope to those in need, regardless of race, religion, or creed, consider food donations, volunteering, or a monetary donation

Currently, our food pantry is looking for items such as canned proteins, canned fruit, boxed cereal, breakfast items like oatmeal and peanut butter and jelly, and canned vegetables.

Food donations near you are made easier with a quick drop-off at the entrance of our campus. We encourage you to give or get involved as you are able.

We look forward to welcoming guests and volunteers for our celebratory Feed Vegas community meal on April 25th!
