High School Equivalency

What We Do

The High School Equivalency Program (HSE) is a recognized alternative to earning a high school diploma for students who did not complete their high school graduation requirements. The following free classes are available in day and evening schedules to prepare you in taking the High School Equivalency Test (HiSet):

  • Language Arts: Grammar, Reading and Writing
  • Math:  Number Sense, Geometry, Statistics, Expressions and Solving Equations
  • Science:  Life Science, Physical Science, Charts and Tables
  • Social Studies:  Government and Civics, U.S. History, and Economics

Class Schedule

Classes are available online Monday through Thursday in a day and evening schedule with tutoring opportunities on Friday. Students will also have access to an online application (Aztec) to study in their own time.

Eligibility To Become a Recipient

The High School Equivalency Program is available to anyone over the age of 16 who is not currently enrolled in a secondary school and did not complete their high school graduation requirements.
