Senior Companions volunteers offer hope, comfort, and support to seniors that may require additional assistance to continue living independently in their own homes in southern Nevada. Senior Companion volunteers serve and assist seniors that may be frail, in diminishing health, or have physical disabilities.

We serve the seniors in our communities who are:

  • Low income
  • Isolated or homebound
  • Suffer from depression, memory loss and other mental health symptoms
  • Nutritionally at risk

We match seniors with a desire to Lead with Experience throughout the community by offering their talents, skills and the gift of time.

Typical volunteer opportunities include:

  • Providing wellness checks, compassionate companionship and communication with other seniors
  • providing vital transportation to medical appointments, pharmacies and grocery stores
  • Reading and socializing
  • Light housekeeping

All volunteers are welcome to participate in the program. — We also have stipends available for those Senior Companion volunteers that qualify.

Senior Companion Program Volunteers provide thousands of volunteer hours, making a positive impact in the lives of frail older adults who need extra assistance to live independently in their own homes.
