Free Summer Meal Programs Throughout the Valley

There are more kids going hungry in Nevada, than in many other parts of the country, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture said Nevada is one of nearly a dozen states that need special assistance when it comes to summer meal programs this year.  So, from June through the end of August, the Culinary Academy will be delivering meals to 23 feeding sites around the valley.

It’s all a part of the annual summer food service program in which kids under 18 can get their breakfast, lunch or snacks throughout the day free of charge for five days a week.
